Nuya's Essence was founded in 2013 by Hellen Dausen Munis with the vision to create safe and affordable skincare for women and slowly drive-out toxic cosmetics from the market, one product at a time. Nuya's Essence was among the first natural skincare brands in Tanzania. We use plant oils, butters, herbs and spices sourced from small holder farmers across Zanzibar Islands, Tanzania mainland and around Africa. Our products include but not limited to: handmade soaps, body oils, body scrubs, lip balms, essential oils, body creams, raw Shea butter and many others. Nuya's essence other activities include, training women on skincare, customer service, production, customer care, and mentoring other young businesses. Hellen Dausen Munis has won several local awards and has been listed by Forbes Africa, 30 under 30 in 2016 as the most promising entrepreneur in Africa.
