After suffering kidney failure and undertaking a transplant on March last year Athanas Mbele Mwachia founded Athanas Mbele Foundation while still in recovery with a hope that he will not die to help the rural communities. The 31 year old has so far been able to give sanitary towels to 8,047 girls, repair rural roads, give free tents and chairs to rural events like funerals, gave 5,017 candidates success & motivation talks together with tools for exams, planting trees, medical camps, helping victims of heavy rains and currently installing solar security lights to open up the rural economies in Kenya
